The Jim Dandy #5

The Jim Dandy #5 is an air cooled atmospheric Stirling of about 35W. This small Stirling is inteended to power a large, floor standing fan. It is continuous duty, is very quiet and requires a minimum of maintanance. This Stirling has several unique features, a two peice displacer piston which acts like a regenerator, an all copper heat exchanger with pressed on copper fins, and a cast iron power piston bore. It is lubricated by a periodically oiled wick oiling system. This engine was built in the spirit of the old Stirling fans.
